What it does

Built for the site, not the cloud.

JDX Stronghold runs on a Windows or Ubuntu PC at the premises. Cameras, footage and alarm logic stay on that machine.

Records what is already installed

Finds cameras by ONVIF discovery or takes an address by hand. Streams go to disk as the camera sends them, with no re-encoding, so quality stays intact and processor load stays low.

Intruder logic on top of video

Draw motion zones on each camera and group them into areas. Arm and disarm by area, with entry and exit countdowns, 24-hour zones and weekly schedules that include New Zealand public holidays.

Tells a person from a shadow

Object detection marks people, vehicles and animals inside a zone that is already moving. It runs on the processor. No graphics card and no cloud service.

Footage that holds as evidence

Every clip is encrypted with AES-256 and sealed with HMAC-SHA256. An altered clip is refused, not played. Footage leaves the machine only as an export.

Operate from a phone

A web interface for phones and other PCs: live view, arm and disarm, playback and events. Configuration and deletion stay on the console. The web interface has no route to them.

Every action on record

Each arm, disarm, sign-in and change is logged with the user or device that made it. Camera tamper is reported whether the site is armed or not.

Also included

No add-on modules.

The trial and the licence run the same software. Nothing is held back for a higher price.

  • Video wall with a free-resize grid and a layout that is kept between sessions
  • Timeline playback across several cameras at once
  • Floor plan from an image or PDF, with live camera and zone states
  • Investigate: search events and footage by camera and time
  • Fisheye dewarping for 360-degree cameras
  • Users and permissions, with no default password
  • Continuous or motion recording, with pre-roll and retention by days
  • Commissioning checks that report what is not ready before the site is armed

Ownership

The footage is yours. So is the machine.

JDX Security never receives footage, camera passwords or site plans. There is no cloud account to keep paying for.

  • Uninstalling never deletes footage. Recordings stay on the drive until retention or the owner removes them.
  • A licence problem is designed never to stop recording. The worst case is a reminder on screen.
  • No audio is recorded. Video only, which keeps most sites clear of the strictest surveillance rules.
  • Perpetual licence. Security fixes stay free for every customer.
